NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE
The Phibian Special Operations Fin was designed and developed in support of Naval Special Warfare Group Three (NSWG3), the Undersea Proponent of the United States Navy SEAL Teams.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
The fin was developed using Phibian Gear, Inc's "t-cell" process. The result is the culmination of seven prototypes, test and evaluation periods conducted at (NSWG3) and the SEAL Teams.
This revolutionary fin, which utilizes transformer technology, allows the fin to retract and expand. This amazing feature allows the user to walk or run.
Amazingly, it is capable of negotiating a wide range of terrain obstacles including sand, marsh, rock, stairs and ladders. In addition, the locking cam is placed at the nose of the foot plate.
The locking cam allows the operator to rapidly deploy and lock the fin into a complete range of lengths. Essentially, it works as a short surf passage fin or a long combat dive style fin. The fin is the most versatile piece of operating kit for any maritime special operations environment.
